Within employee benefits expense were £11.0 million (2014: £4.4 million) of restructuring costs.

The total expense included within employee benefits expense from continuing operations in respect of equity-settled share-based payments was £2.9 million (2014: £4.4 million). The company operates several share option schemes, details of which are given in the directors' remuneration report. Further disclosures have not been included as they are considered immaterial to the assessment of the share-based payments charge.
